Appreciate... It costs nothing..!!

Isn't it strange that whatever our needs are today, were wants at some point of time in the past.

We have evolved over a period of time and have continued to do so. It is a human tendency of not being satisfied with what we have. We always strive for more and more. It is the only reason that we have been able to discover and invent so many things above and beyond the expectations. Also, it is only possible if we are able to appreciate and utilize the resources which are available to us. Not all of us have this ability to appreciate things around us. We have been finding flaws in whatever we see, instead of looking for opportunities in it. The best example I can quote is that of MOTHER EARTH. 

She has provided us with such beautiful things around us and we used it so finely for a wide variety of purposes. Also, I would like to give a simple example of Sir Issac Newton's theory of Gravity. If like every other person he would have ignored the apple which fell from the tree, what would have the world been today. It is such a simple, sober example of how he gave a thought to it and came out with a revolutionary theory.

Its not always about looking for loop holes in any system, process or anything around you. Its about, filling them and contributing towards prosperity of everyone. We nurture, we evolve when we are able to appreciate the opportunities in the environment and convert those opportunities. Talking in business terms, i would like to present the example of Dhirubhai Ambani, he was a visionary. He could always see as to where can he use and utilize the opportunities available to him. The power of appreciating the things around you, nothing else.

What a busy life we are living ! We have a timetable set for each and every task, each and every meeting, each and every activity. But in this well-defined timetable, we have forgotten to assign a small amount of time for ourselves, our loved ones and friends. In this so called corporate world and corporate work culture, we are so busy chasing the targets and pleasing others that we hardly get time for our personal life and likes. Speaking in mathematical terms our lives have become a function of material things. We have started using materialistic approach to measure the happiness and joy. Happiness, today is relative. We never realize that what are we doing, we are we doing and what impact it has on our lives. Its a bitter truth of today's generation that we have become totally inclined towards money and technology. Technology was supposed to help mankind but now, it has become a part and parcel of our lives. It is a harsh truth that we have been accustomed to run for marks, merit and ultimately money. This the reason that we are so much unsatisfied with our life. Happiness is not about chasing targets, its not about balancing the financial statements, its not about getting fake compliments by peers. We tend to forget that its not life, its a part of life.

I just want to convey that there's something very beautiful inside each and everyone of us. When we realize our inner-self, we come to know that life is much more beautiful, life has so much to give us. We have been struggling hard throughout the life. Firstly, we have been struggling to get out of the school. After school, somehow pass the graduation and seeking for jobs or higher studies. Throughout the life we have been running and running and running without even thinking that why are we doing it. Even after getting a job, we seek for promotion, appraisal, the race never ends. We are in habit of running because its has become a basic mindset that if we don't do well, if we lag behind, we'll stand no where and we cannot live in the society.

Why this mindset???? Why this feeling of dissatisfaction??? Is it so important to run for money????

It is just a part of life, right??? Just give a fraction of second for yourself, think over the things you have done in life. And think what all you achieved. It will be a great pleasure and it will give you a great smile on your face when you think of the moments of childhood. Its because, at that time there was no such race, no such chase, it was just so innocent.

We have messed up our lives, thinking and evaluating our priorities at work place.

There was a time when people EARN TO LIVE, but now people LIVE TO EARN.
